daring age

I sold everything I owned to travel solo in the South Pacific for a year to hitchhike with only my backpack as my possession. Having silence, freedom, no appointments and no influence from anyone allowed me for deep soul searching. So I followed the clues of the universe and became hypersensitive to everything around me: Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand…. You filled me with Joy and taught me so much!

I mingled with the locals very naturally and was filled by curiosity in their lifestyle and culture. Living in the Now so intensely allowed me to be become very aware of my emotions and thoughts.

Do you sometimes feel lost and out of touch? Do you love your life or feel you would like things to be different? Well, you can, it’s all about believing and setting up your intentions (and a bit more )

My 30s was the decade of changing focus

from me to others

I met my husband Deepak who came straight from India to the state of Louisiana for his MBA. We became college sweethearts and followed each others to California for further studies in IT. Deepak found a job and moved to MS while I moved to London, UK to live the big life as an IT consultant for an international marketing company.

If any of you has been in a long term relationship, you know the pain… well, we would meet in Germany, France, London, or US every other week for 2 years until I got accidentally pregnant. There comes the shift: becoming a mother with no idea where to reside! We settled for the US where we risked everything to start our IT company (as we were not yet American citizens).

Our beginnings were rocky, as we had to adapt to each other cultures (French and  Indian) and to our new beloved motherland: the US. Raising 3 children with no family member to give us relief or guidance was challenging but we now love our life in the sun state of Florida.

My 40s was the decade of continuous learning

I was fascinated by the profound meaning of happiness and if one can raise his happiness level. I traveled in India to participate in meditations seminars and got introduced to Buddhism and yoga. I researched on the complexity of the Thinking System and separate realities to better understand emotions. To apply my knowledge, I conducted various workshops and seminars on happiness and well being. I also lead group meditation for stress reduction.

Do you ever feel you are replaying the same destructive thinking in your mind and are getting manipulated by your emotions? Can you define what happiness means for you? Would you like to be the leader of your life?

My 50s is now… Bummer, I know!

I have to accept to age gracefully, see my kids go to college and find my new center of well being with less of them, more of… you?

I feel grateful to the  traumatic situations  I surmounted and health issues I battled as it expanded my horizon of possibilities and develop so much empathy  and patience for others.

I finally found peace in my relationship with food after struggling over a decade from chronic constipation. After experiencing and analyzing about 15 diets to find a solution, I later learned that my issues rooted from a neurological problem. Everything I do daily: working out, moving around, eating, drinking, I do it intuitively because I LISTEN to my body and pay attention to what elevates me and what put me down. To me, food is something that rejoices me, it gives me strength and stamina to go through my day, it helps me sleep well at night, and I take an  honest pleasure cooking flavorful dishes and eating slowly… I definitely kept my French culture in regards to food as it is always the centerpiece of any gathering, even the most casual.

I’m happy with the choices I made in my life as I always treated my body as my temple. My priorities have always been to nourish and balance my soul, body, and mind (even if that sounds cliché)

I love to share my knowledge and my passion for healthy lifestyle to whomever is ready for it
